As part of a digital transformation initiative, I designed and developed a lightweight web application for First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) to showcase real-time foreign currency exchange rates across its branches.

My role

A solo project, I led the end-to-end process — from UX/UI design and prototyping to frontend development and integration with the bank’s digital signage platform (Appspace) and leveraging the bank’s real-time currency exchange rate API.

The Process

The project moved from UX research and wireframes to high-fidelity UI design in Figma, followed by responsive Angular development. After aligning with stakeholders, I integrated the solution with FAB’s Appspace platform and real-time currency exchange API, before completing testing, documentation, and handover to the bank’s technical team.

Outcomes

Branch-ready clarity: Large typography and contrast for quick glance reading ,Reliable uptime: Pulls live rates with graceful fallbacks for stale data, Easy rollout: Appspace integration for centralized updates across displays.
